Terms of Service

TDC is an online browser game provided by the operator identified in the Impressum (“we”, “us”, “the developer”). The game is in Early Access: it is under active development, provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and its features, balance and content may change, break or be removed at any time. You play an evolving, unfinished game by choice.

• You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by local law.
• You may create an account with an e-mail address and password, or play as a guest. Guest progress is stored only in your browser and cannot be recovered if lost.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
• Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. One person may not operate accounts in a way designed to gain an unfair advantage (see Fair Play).

TDC is a competitive typing game with public leaderboards. To keep it fair, you agree not to:

• Cheat, manipulate scores, or submit results not achieved through legitimate play
• Exploit bugs, glitches or unintended mechanics for advantage instead of reporting them
• Use bots, scripts, macros, auto-typers or any form of automation
• Reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, or attempt to bypass the game’s client or backend
• Attack, overload, or probe the service or its infrastructure
• Harass, threaten or abuse other players or the developer
• Choose offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonating or otherwise inappropriate usernames
• Upload or distribute illegal content, or use the game for any unlawful purpose

Found a bug or exploit? Please report it via our Support page instead of abusing it — responsible reports help everyone.

You are responsible for your username and any text you submit. We may rename, hide or remove usernames or content that violate these Terms, and we may reclaim inactive or impersonating names.

Levels, prestige, rebirth, relics, achievements, leaderboard positions and any other in-game progress are part of the game only. They are not your property, have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may be adjusted, reset or removed as part of balancing or development.

To operate and develop the game, and especially to protect fair play, we may at our reasonable discretion:

• Suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms
• Reset progress, scores or leaderboards (e.g. to remove cheated results or at season end)
• Change game balance, mechanics, features and content
• Add, modify, disable or remove features at any time
• Take the servers offline for maintenance, or permanently
• End Early Access, change the game’s direction, or discontinue the game entirely

Where reasonable and lawful, we will try to give notice of major changes such as a full shutdown.

We do not guarantee that the game will be available, uninterrupted, error-free or secure at all times. Access may be limited or suspended for maintenance, updates, technical issues, or reasons beyond our control.

While we take reasonable care to keep your progress safe (see our Privacy Policy), we cannot guarantee against loss of game data caused by maintenance, bugs, updates, third-party service failures, or events outside our control (force majeure). Guest progress in particular is stored locally and may be lost if you clear your browser data.

The game, including its name, design, artwork, code, audio and content, is owned by the developer and protected by law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to play the game for private use. All other rights are reserved.

The game is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it is free of defects or fit for any particular purpose.

Our liability is limited as follows, to the extent permitted by applicable (in particular German) law:

• We are liable without limitation for damages arising from intent or gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.
• For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (a duty whose fulfilment makes proper performance possible and on which you may reasonably rely), and only up to the typical, foreseeable damage.
• Any further liability is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability — for example under product liability law — remains unaffected.

Because TDC is a free Early Access game, please keep your expectations accordingly and do not rely on it for anything important.

You may stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to comply with the law. You can appeal a suspension via the Support page.

We may update these Terms as the game evolves. We will update the “last updated” date and, for significant changes, provide notice in-game or by e-mail. Continued play after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Where legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction is the operator’s registered seat in Germany, as stated in the Impressum.
